This title might look like that am trying to trick you somehow.
Well, it is a trick, BUT IT IS WORKING!
So, until now, if you wanted to place your travel offer on Google you had two choices:
- Work hard on your SEO and pray to God
- Spend money on Google AdWords
But now, I will show you an easier way to do it, to hack the system and get your travel offer in front of the first page visitors.
By using the FACEBOOK PIXEL!
You might think, what the hack has the Facebook pixel to do with the SEO?
Well, it does, but you just need to be clever!
So, let’s say that we want to promote our local tours in Mexico City and therefore we would like to show our offer to those who google for “Best things to do in Mexico City”.
For this highly competitive destination, we need to invest years of work to rank on the first page.
But, we can do it by tomorrow. It is very simple.
First, let’s open this page on Google. These are search results for “Best things to do in Mexico City”
We want to find some travel blogs that have nice articles that are ranked on the first page. I have marked them with a red rectangle on the above image.
Then, all we need to do is to find their contact information and ask them if they are willing to place our Facebook pixel only on this specific blog post and how much it would cost us.
Since the Facebook pixel is practically invisible the price should be significantly lower than for placing a banner or a link. Maybe some bloggers are not familiar with Facebook pixel so you just need to explain to them that this small piece of code is invisible and it won’t hurt their website.
Now that you have your Facebook pixels installed on those blog posts you should go to your Facebook Ads Manager and set up a custom audience from those visitors and serve them your ads.
Those blog posts probably generate a few thousand visitors per day, and those are the people who are actively searching for things to do in your destination. Now they start to see your promo video on their Facebook, Instagram or Instagram Story.
And there you have it – your offer is in front of Google first page visitors for your desired keyword!
You can do the same for other relevant keywords.
Of course, you want to avoid the OTAs websites which are usually ranking high as well as your local competitors since they won’t do this with you. This is why we didn’t try this for “Mexico City tours” because the first page is full with the OTAs and other local tour providers.
You want to find some travel blogs or travel magazines that are not selling tours for Mexico City. Then you are not competitors, you are the perfect match!
This method can be used by hotels, small accommodations, travel agents and other travel related businesses.
Of course, you need to have some technical knowledge – to understand how the Facebook pixel works and how to set it up, how to create a custom audience and remarketing campaigns, how to set up a funnel and proper conversion tracking. But all this and much more you can learn on my online course Etourism Master Training or you can let me do this (and many other things to boost your sales) for you, so do not hesitate to contact me.
Good luck! 🙂
